I am an active artist from Valletta working in digital collage, installation art and writing. I research beauty, intimacy and the absurd through rhyme and dissonance.
Biography
1981 – Born in Malta to Vincent and Mary Grace Mizzi neé Scicluna. 1996 – Summer Art Courses at The Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce of Art under tuition of Mr. Emanuel Gafà of Senglea. 1997 – Foundation Course in Fine Art at the School of Art in Valletta. 1997 – Diploma Course at the Emvin Cremona Art & Design Centre in Valletta under tuition from Alfred Camilleri, Luciano Micallef, Patrick Galea and the late Emanuel Fiorentino and Donald Friggieri. 2006 – Represented Malta as co-founder of Alternative Malta at the Europavox Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France. 2013 – Coordinated the Valletta Forum for the Valletta 2018 Foundation. 2014 – Graduated Masters of Fine Arts in Digital Media focusing on contemporary politics, social media and social narratives. 2015 – 2023 Elected committee member and chairman for Public Relations for the Għaqda tal-Pawlini and director of the Akkademja Kulturali Pawlina in Valletta. 2015 – Member of the Maltese contingent in Venice doing preparatory work for Malta’s participation in the 2017 Venice Biennale. 2018 – Project Coordinator for Il-Festa l-Kbira in Valletta. 2016-2018 – Represented the Valletta 2018 Foundation in other European Capitals of Culture, namely San Sebastian (Spain), Plzen (Czech Republic), Wroclaw (Poland) and Matera (Italy). Represented the Foundation in Birmingham, Naples and Copenhagen for project commitments. 2019-2020 – Member in the Cultural Sub Committee of the Valletta Local Council. 2019 – Represented Malta in the European Charlemagne Youth Prize at Aachen, Germany. 2020 – Curated Exquisite Pain | Squisito Dolore, an exhibition of woodcut prints by artist David Borg. 2022/23 – Awarded certificates for artistic achievement in the Luxembourg Art Prize 2022 and 2023 editions organised by The Pinothèque Museum 2023 – Guest collaborator as brand designer for You Are What You Buy project. 2023 Digital portrait of Daphne Caruana Galizia donated to the Office of the President of the European Parliament.
